I gave this new show a chance last night and I’m not sure why. The show is called The Two Coreys and it’s about Corey Feldman and Corey Haim (the dynamic duo from Lost Boys and other great 80′s flicks) and how their friendship has developed now that they are older and both not really doing much.
The premise is that the slightly more successful Corey (Feldman), who is now married, has graciously offered to have the other Corey (Haim) stay at his place for a few weeks so they can bond. It also happens to be the 20th anniversary of Lost Boys (what a coincidence). They fight and makeup and fight and makeup and it ends with an emotional moment when Feldman breaks it to Haim that a Lost Boys 2 movie is being made without them. Of course this only makes their relationship stronger and the season promises to bring us more zany mishaps as the two continue to fight and makeup.
I don’t know why I even give these shows a chance. They are all scripted and they all suck in the very same way. They all try to take people that we have sort of forgotten about, but that we loved at one time, and show us just how depressing and unstable their lives have become in hopes that we will feel sorry for them and love them so they can cash in.
Please people…do not watch Two Coreys or any show of this nature. That won’t stop them from being made but at least your life will be better. But on the other hand maybe you should watch because in the words of Corey Feldman…
“I’m more than an actor. I’m an icon…an industry.”
